What is the Eco-Freezer (1583-10s)?
Eco-Freezer is a freezer spray developed with new HFO-1234ze propellant to minimize global warming effect that can be a drop-in replacement when GWP needs to be lowered. Commonly used for its rapidly evaporating liquid super-chills on isolated areas and increases visibility of cold solder joints, cracks in printed circuit boards and oxidized junctions.
Low global warming potential (GWP)
FO-1234ze has a GWP of 6, compared to HFC-134a with GWP of 1300, a fraction of the global warming potential (GWP) of HFC-134a based freeze sprays.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Global Warming Potential (GWP) of <1
- Ideal for ISO-14000 programs
- Chills down to -49°F (-45°C)
- Nonflammable under ambient conditions
- Non-ozone depleting
- Zero residue & no odor
Size options:
- 1583-10s - 10 oz (284g)
How should you use the Eco-Freezer?
Spray on board to determine the area where the failure is occurring. Attach the extension tube and spray on individual components until the failed component has been isolated.
More about Eco-Freezer (1583-10s) Refridgerant
Techspray's Eco-Freezer (1582-10s) contains nonflammable refrigerant that are safe to use on powered electronics and electrical devices
HFO-1234ze (trans- 1,3,3,3-Tetrafluoropropene, CAS #29118-24-9) is a newer refrigerant that is gaining popularity because it is nonflammable under ambient conditions and has a very low GWP (less than 1), below the global warming impact of CO2.
This is far below HFC-134a, and still has the advantage of being VOC-free. Unfortunately, because HFO-1234ze is newer technology and has not been widely adopted by large volume applications such as air conditioning, it is still relatively expensive compared to HFC-134a.
